A Reflection on the article “A REVOLUTIONARY FROM THE HEART”

Before I started reading the whole story about Fr. Niall O’Brien I was really bothered about the word “REVOLUTIONARY” in which in layman’s term/understanding it sounds like trouble, a rebellion, revolt by the use of strength and power. However as I read it, dig deeper into his life I certainly internalize it, that it has something to do about transformation, refreshment, renewal, and revival to our personal response to God’s call to us through the use of a system in uplifting the good news to a more understandable, attractive and fulfilling. I admit to myself that I can’t afford to lose this opportunity, the opportunity to experience and live the life of Columban missionaries who dedicate themselves whole heartedly to the Lord our God and with their unconditional love to God’s people.

I also found out to myself that whenever we are called to serve God just like Fr. Niall, it is really of in great love, trust and fidelity that we must build and develop in ourselves. All of these will be attainable if we are obedient to His will not on our personal will. Because in reality the moment we come closer to God the more temptations we will receive, despite of it, only prayer and faith are our greatest weapon in order to win and survive.

Moreover I reflected some things that I should value most so that I can attain a win-win situation. The first thing that I should do is to focus in my studies, generate ample time in leadership, socialization and spiritual enhancement. So I will be ready and equipped in dealing with other people particularly to a place where I need adjustment, observation and understanding. So from then, I could definitely make my own system of approach to easily understand each other by practicing patience just like Fr. Niall did, he really gave time and effort to study the HILIGAYNON just to convey the message of God. I accept that I don’t value the times when I encountered loneliness, when I’m down instead of learning I tend to buried it without doing reflections. Now that I am enlightened, I was amazed because I performed personal communication to God. Repent my sins and ask for forgiveness to the Lord. In short I draw something extraordinary just as Fr. Niall wrote with his two articles. Finally I feel no reason to deny that we are all called to serve God our creator but it is in us how and in what way we are going to respond in His Gospel.
